I got up early, around 6:30 in the morning, because I really wanted to walk around and visit the Royal Palace, I kept on checking the address on the live google map in my cellphone but could not follow the direction given. So I asked Vangie to just accompany me in the nearby Pagoda (which we spotted when we left Phnom Penh for Siem Reap city) to take souvenir shots.

We started walking across the street and arrived at the Pagoda after 10 minutes. Then walked around to ask someone where to cross the street for the Royal Palace but nobody understood what I was talking about so we ended up taking pictures of the city streets and went back to the hotel extremely frustrated. I was not able to visit the Killing Fields center also which I know just within the main thoroughfare of the street where hotel luxury world is located.
This Pagoda is located just few walks from Hotel Luxury World

morning walk in Phnom Penh city

We departed Phnom Penh city at 9:00 in the morning. The travel seemed a little fast because by 12:00 noon we reached the border and disembarked for personal appearance at the immigration (bus conductor already collected our passport before reaching the border), Cambodian immigration is not strict for visitors who are leaving the country because we did not make a personal appearance to their office when we left the border.

Breakfast at the hotel cafe

We arrived in Saigon at 4:00 in the afternoon and traveled back to Ben Thanh for some shopping. We were told by police that we should always be careful with our bags because of snatchers so we're holding our bags as if we're in Manila haha!

After taking dinner, we hired a taxi to take us to the airport. We learned from this ride that taxis going to the airport (not sure if it is the same in Hanoi, Vietnam's capital) will charge an additional VD10,000 to the total fare. We arrived safely in the airport at 8:40pm.
