Twin Mountain View Resort in Bansalan

I just visited this highland resort in Bansalan, Davao del Sur with my two friends, and I was so impressed with its beautiful location. Built on the cliff, in the highlands of barangay Managa, the resort offers an incredible view of Bansalan mountain ranges!

Twin Mountain View Resort is located in sitio Balutakay in Barangay Managa, Bansalan, in the province of Davao del Sur, just three hours travel from Davao City if you are on a private car. For commuters, please find a guide at the bottom of this post.

The place stuns me. Calm, quiet, peaceful, breezy, and majestic!  The cottages are built on the cliff facing the mountains. You can have the view of Mt. Apo during clear sky. Our room is not air-conditioned but still very cold. In the afternoon, the atmosphere can get very cold and the wind is frosty even during sunny weather so don't forget to bring sweater.

Glass bridge walk at night

Located at the foot of Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines, Twin Mountain View Resort offers an incredible view of nature, cold atmosphere, and magnificent surroundings.

We had a nice experience at this resort. Food selections are good! All natural vege menu, pasta selections are sumptuous. Members of the staff are nice and accommodating, and there's a live band at night. If I would rate my stay at this resort it's 10/10! And I would love to go back there for a longer stay because it's so relaxing and healing.

They have plenty of accommodations to choose. We stayed at the Apo Sandawa Unit, located on the lower part of the building near the glass bridge. Per night is Php2,800.00 (couple's room) good for two, and because  we are three we paid an additional Php800.00 for an extra bed.

If you have a senior companion, you can choose the Mt. Matutum rooms which are located in the upper part near the restaurant. Room per night for two persons is Php3,000.00

The Mt. Matutum rooms are on top

For an overnight stay, guests have a complimentary breakfast (buffet), free entrance, free access to the swimming pool and glass bridge. There's a complimentary coffee and toiletries in the room. It has towels too.

Twin Mountain View Resort, which is located in Purok Mercury, is just a walking distance from Haven's Dew Resort in Purok Neptune. During our stay, we made a day tour to Haven's Dew Resort for two hours, entrance fee is Php100.00.

I just found this resort on Facebook they have an official FB account. I sent a message to book a room for the three of us. We literally just walked-in (we don't have an advance booking), thank God the staff I chatted was extra accommodating. We arrived there at 1:00PM on August 8, 2026.

For commuters, here's how to get there:

If you are coming from Davao City: Go to Ecoland Bus Terminal then take a bus bound for Bansalan or Kidapawan (travel time is around 2.5 hours). Tell the driver to drop you off at Bansalan town proper. Fare is Php170.00

Once you are in Bansalan, hire a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) going to Purok Mercury, Balutakay (approximately 40-minute highland ride). Or just tell the motorcycle taxi driver you're going to Twin Mountain View Resort in Purok Mercury in Barangay Managa. Fare is Php70.00 according to the staff in the resort.

The uphill ride takes about 40 to 55 minutes. Be sure to arrange your return trip or agree on a wait-and-return deal with your driver, as public transport options are very scarce in the upper sitios of Balutakay. If you're on a private car, just use a waze app and pin the name of the resort.

It's a highly recommended mountain resort if you're looking for a place to escape and relax away from the noises of the world. I would love to go there one of these days. I love the experience and the thrill of waking up in the morning seeing the mountains.

There's no signal of mobile phone but the resort has a free wifi so you can still update your social media while enjoying the scenery. Their wifi has an excellent signal coverage.

Expenses: our room is good for 2 (Php2,800) but because we were three, we paid for an extra bed of Php800.00. We spent late lunch there upon arrival Php320.00 per head. Dinner (pasta): Php375.00. Check in time is 2PM, checkout time is 12:00 noon.
